Parent and Toddler Christmas party 2018

Sue Willard writing about the Parent and Toddler Christmas party

Everyone had a great time as the mainly music and Mummy and Me parent and toddler groups joined together for a Christmas party this week. The morning began with a retelling of the Nativity story, interspersed with Christmas songs (with actions). Following the singing of Jingle Bells, accompanied by enthusiastic shaking of hand bells by the toddlers, Santa arrived, with a hearty “Ho-ho-ho!” He was warmly greeted and proceeded to give every child, including the newest arrival in the group (see picture), a present.

After the children had unwrapped and played with their toys, there was plenty of food to enjoy, picnic style, seated on rugs on the floor.

At the end of the morning, each child left with a goodie bag containing a Christmas story book and CD, as well as a Christmas card, a copy of ‘Kids Alive’ and a small bag of sweets
