Welcome to Chatham Salvation Army, a Christian fellowship where we are attempting to bring ‘Christ to people and people to Christ’.
This morning I am delighted to be back at the helm, thanks to Major Judith for her challenging and directive meetings on the 23rd Psalm, I know that many of you were helped and encourage by her words.
Also it was a joy to have Lt Cols Drew & Bev McCombe (THQ) ‘back home’ with us last week leading the Dedications of Jessie Rose Dean and Ruben Frederick Dean.
This morning I am looking at freedom, particularly the verse from Galatians (5:1)
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery’
We think and remember our young people that are attending Divisional Summer School this week and the up and coming Kids Camp in August, which Judith and I will be attending.
This week Judith and I commence our Furlough and I thank those in advanced who will be leading worship – if you are going away have a great relaxed time. To remind you that there is no Evening Service now until the 9th September
God bless you all.
Ian F Payne
