Parent & Toddler groups’ – End of year Celebrations

Below is an account of the Parent and Toddler groups’ end-of-year celebrations sent in by Sue Willard

Our parent and toddler groups (mainly music and Mummy and Me) have just celebrated the end of another fun-filled year. Last week, writes Sue Willard, we held sports- themed sessions, with races such as jumping sacks, egg and spoon, obstacle race and tunnel ball. It was a bit chaotic at times – as events with toddlers can be – but that’s all part of the fun!! We also enjoyed icecreams, which the children had decorated with sprinkles.

This week, as has been the tradition over the past few years, we held our final meetings for both groups at the Strand playpark. These were well supported. The children enjoyed playing in the sandpit and on the climbing equipment, while some ventured into the paddling pool or had a ride on the little train. Some brought daddies and grandparents with them and stayed for a picnic. We said our goodbyes to several children: Zac and Chloe who are off to school, and Kenzie who starts preschool. These children received certificates of attendance and books of Bible stories. We won’t be saying goodbye to their families, though, as they will still be attending with younger siblings!

Thanks,

Sue.
