Making Tracks

Sarah Mann and Andy Millest have sent us the following letter:

Attached (above) is a flyer for our second ever Music Man Project (Kent/Medway) Concert.  Please come and see just how our performers (all adults with learning disabilities) are developing their musical skills and gaining in confidence.  Entry is free, but donations will be very welcome!  Marc McOwens, the general manager of Southend Mencap, is running four fundraising marathons in four days, and on Friday 13 April he’ll be coming to Gillingham.  His run that day and our concert at 3pm that afternoon will help us raise funds to take our musicians to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019.

‘Making Tracks’ will take place at The Salvation Army, Green Street, Gillingham (please see flyer attached).  If you are driving, it’s best to park in Balmoral car park (pay and display) off Randolph Road, then walk round the medical centre (large colourful building) and cross the footbridge over the railway line. This soon leads to Green Street and the Salvation Army hall is on your right.  Alternatively, the Salvation Army hall is only 150 metres from the Railway Station in Gillingham.

We would be delighted if you were able to join us and support us.  If you would like to reserve a seat, please let us know that you are coming – otherwise it’s pot luck!

Could we finally draw your attention to the Just Giving website (details on the bottom of the flyer) if you would like to sponsor Marc’s Medway Marathon?  www.justgiving.com/4in4KentMMP

Should you require further information, please do get in touch.

We do hope that you are able to come.

Sarah Mann & Andy Millest                                                                                                  Regional & Assistant Director, Music Man Project (Kent/Medway)

(Editor’s note: We went to the first concert and it was a WOW!!!!! – this is not one to be missed)
