Lordswood School entertains Cameo

Well, not quite. Part of the school choir, led by our own Kate Boughton, gave a 45 minute concert for the Cameo Club yesterday.

The children sang Christmas carols interspersed with readings and showed great enthusiasm (together with exemplary behaviour despite the exciting times ahead!!!)

Each child was asked to give their name and tell the audience what was their favourite food (is chocolate a food?) together with what they liked most about Christmas (being with family scored highly). We learned that our own Steve Lenton is giving cornet/trumpet lessons to some of the children and heard an example of his teaching as one young lady played Jingle Bells very well indeed. Unfortunately we don’t have a picture of that item.

At the end oft he concert each child received an Advent Calendar as thanks for the lovely time enjoyed by the Cameo Club.
