All three (+chips) were evident in the Ladies Fellowship outing in the Kent sunshine.
Husbands were allowed as this photo shows and the group arrived in mid-afternoon at the home of former leader Jane Haystead and her husband David overlooking the beach at St Mildred’s Bay, Westgate. After a good ‘cuppa’ (some were watching Andy Murray at Wimbledon) the groups progressed to the beach where some were brave enough to paddle in the sea (reported to be warm!). Others sat and enjoyed the fresh sea air which gave them an appetite for what was to follow.
A fish and chip supper had been arranged at Margate Corps which was also attended by Margate salvationists. This was a most enjoyable part of the day as many renewed old aquaintances. The promised thunderstorm arrived during this meal which was fortunately indoors!
Thanks go to Jane and David for organising this very pleasant day out.
