"Bringing Christ to People and People to Christ"

Kids weekend at Rippledown

We’ve picked up some comments about the Kids weekend from Social Media. It sounds like it was a blast! 23 kids attended drawn from the wide spectrum of our Children’s Ministry activities (Sunday school, kidz club, scouts and our Roma children).

Rippledown (Medium)

Friday evening started with a mission to find the key to the venue, a trip to the beach, sausage and chips and then an hour walk back. They kids did great. They did not known that one of the leaders had the key all along!!

Excitement resulted in late nights but was no lay-in the next morning. There were missions to accomplish, den building, camouflage, a picnic, laser trail, candle challenge, crossing the chasm, code breaking and a camp fire. Makes you tired just reading it!!

Sunday morning saw a  slightly later start but breakfast was still at 8am. (why can’t they get up early at home?). Moe activities (an indoor scavenger hunt, designing t-shirts and godly play) before a big Sunday roast. And on full stomachs the final 3 missions were completed including human hungry hippos on skateboards! (what on earth is that?)

Hopefully some photos will appear soon so watch this space. Sounds like we have a great bunch of kids and great leaders too. Back home at church we missed you all.

Our older kids (youth) also spent the weekend away together near Hastings. So far they’re keeping quiet about it!
