Sunday 12th May saw an early start for members of the Band, who travelled through the Kent and Surrey countryside to The Holmwood, a rural village area just south of Dorking (writes Bandmaster Ray Maycock (R)). Almost 11 months ago we held the final meetings in our Church Street hall before vacating the premises to allow the building contractor to take possession. The works now completed we return for worship this coming Sunday (28th April) amidst much joy and excitement.

This coming Sunday (21st april) is a big day in the life of Chatham Salvation Army Corps. Our period of ‘exile’ comes to an end as our meeting at Mid-Kent College (10am) will be our last at that venue.
Our morning meeting tomorrow (14 April) will be at Mid-Kent College, Medway Campus, Medway Road, Gillingham at 10am. Tis will be the penultimate meeting at Mid-Kent before our return to Church Street on 28 April.

This coming Sunday, Easter, we shall be sharing in worship with our friends at Gillingham Salvation Army at 10am. Our own building will be ready for our use in just four weeks time so we are delighted to be able to join with our neighbours on this occasion.
On Good Friday morning we gathered at the Emmaus Church Centre to ‘celebrate God’s redemption of lost mankind’. The meeting was led by Major Alec Still and began with song 133 from the Salvation Army Song Book followed by prayer. Major Alec Still
This theme for the musical evening given by the Band and Songsters was based around scripture describing several instances of rejection experienced by Jesus.
We have a series of meetings for Holy Week at the Emmaus Church Centre inn Clover Street, Chatham as outlined below. All are at 8pm unless otherwise stated and everyone is welcome.
