This week was the YP Annual when the children of KAOS were presented with their prizes and they presented individual musical items in a morning meeting organised by YPSM Tracy Wood. Congregational songs chosen were SA64, SA850, SoF1013 and, from Junior Song Book ‘You don’t have to be clever‘. YPSM Tracy Wood
This week we have been bathing in the sunshine and it’s hard to believe that summer is over and harvesttime is here. On Saturday the Cadets of the Proclaimers of the Resurrection Session were officially welcomed to the newly re-opened William Booth College after its refurbishment.
It’s been a busy week with all those possible carrying out the Annual Appeal door to door collection culminating in our Sunday meetings led by Majors Andrea and Alec Still in the morning, joined by Rev. Brian Adams from Emmaus, with his congregation, in the evening. Majors Andrea and Alec Still
Lt. Col. Ray Steadman Allen OF We begin by congratulating Lt. Col. Ray Steadman-Allen OF on attaining 89 years. His birthday celebrations were a public affair held at Maidstone Salvation Army on Saturday in the form of a fund-raising event for Joy’s Parkinson’s Project. A separate report on this event will be published tomorrow.
No doubt this weekend millions of people around the world have been remembering that awful day, 10 years ago, when the USA was attacked by terrorists, as we ourselves have done. World Trade Center
This was a special week-end as it featured the Divisional Candidates Farewell, a celebration and dedication of those entering William Booth College for training to become Salvation Army officers, our own Mark Scoulding amongst them. William Booth College
Here we are at the end of the summer holidays and today is the last public holiday before Christmas (ouch!). familiar?
During the past week some of our young people have received examination results. This is always a stressful time for those waiting to hear the news and a relief when the results have arrived.
What a difficult week this has been!
This week-end a number of our young people departed for the Divisional Summer Camp at Vinehall School, Robertsbridge. We hope they have a great time and look forward to hearing their impressions of the week. Vinehall School

So another era in the life of Chatham Salvation Army corps has come to an end. Majors Drew and Beverley McCombe have said their goodbyes as they move to new appointments at Territorial Headquarters.
