Ladies Fellowship Film night

A number of ladies met on Monday for the film night and watched ‘Pay it Forward’.  Some had heard that it was sad and came armed with tissues.   When the final moments came and the lights came up there were many dabbing their eyes.

We often report stories of people who have connections with Chatham Corps and here is an event taking place in New York on Sunday March 7, 2010 when Richard, son of Pat and Gordon Phillips of our Corps, will be the guest of honour at Composer’s night, Profile 31, at New York Centennial Memorial Temple.


Great Prayer and Praise evening

Friday evening saw the first of our new monthly Prayer & Praise Venture for youngsters aged from 7yrs – 16yrs old.

New Foyer Coffee Shop opens

The Chatham SA Coffee Shop opened its doors to the public today, 22 February 2010.   Although it was a slow start, Margaret and David had created a restful pleasant atmosphere in which to drink a welcome coffee and eat excellent scones and cakes.

On Saturday evening a divisional youth film night was held in the Chatham SA with representative numbers from surrounding Corps.   A report of this evening will be posted later.  The meetings on Sunday were led by Majors Drew and Beverley McCombe.  


Youth Prayer and Praise starts this week

The exciting new venture for youngsters between 7 – 16 years begins this Friday, 26 February from 7 – 8.15pm. 


Vouchers for Scout Campers

Last year with the help of the corps, the Scout Group collected almost 1200 Sainsburys Active Kids vouchers and we only started collecting with only six weeks to go.


‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’

The next Family Fun evening will be in the form of a ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ game with a light supper.   This will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010 at 7 pm.    The charge will be £3.00 per person (including children)/£10 for a family of 5 (2 Adults 3 Children).
