Alpha courses have been a regular feature of our corps programme for some years. This autumn we will be joining with other Town Centre churches to continue this programme.

The next Christianity for Life Course will begin on Wednesday 13 October and continue on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings until 3 November. Click here to learn more about the course and how you can participate.
When they left Chatham for the William Booth College last year Cadets Steve and Mel Scoulding were asked to ‘drop us a line’ occasionally.

A new Alpha Course, run jointly by the Chatham Town Centre Churches, is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 15 September at 7.30pm and to run for 12 weeks, finishing on 1 December.
The venue will be the Emmaus Church Centre, Clover Street and each session will commence with a meal. Watch this pace for further details.

The autumn dates for Christianity for Life Plus have been published.
This year’s Junior Soldiers’ Day of Renewal will be held on Sunday 11 July (10am). The special guest will be Divisional Children’s Officer Katherine Doncaster. Put a date in your diary to share this meeting with our young people; it’s always a very special time for them..

Following the break for Easter the current Christianity for Life course restarts this Sunday at 3.30pm with the session ‘Living with the Holy Spirit’, the guest speaker being Major Beverley McCombe.
The current C4L course is well underway and is being attended by 12 delegates. The course is again being run by Ray Maycock and Jean Jones.

Two Lent Courses are currently under way at our premises in Church Street.
On Wednesday mornings (10.30am) is a course exploring key themes that arise from the crucifixion that will help us living as Christians today, entitled “His Cross & Ours”

The past week has been another eventful one at the Corps. On Wednesday the sixth course of Christianity for Life began with fourteen participants. The guest speaker was Nigel Day who contributed to the topic of ‘Belonging to the Church’.
The title ‘Hot Potato’ refers to the content of the informal supper and also the topics being discussed are those which are ‘hot potatoes’ in that there are several different viewpoints and stances that people can take.
The next Alpha course is planned to commence on Wednesday 10 March. All are welcome to come.
