Majors Drew and Beverley McCombe are back to work today after a vacation and house move. We welcome them into their new appointment and look forward to the years ahead with anticipation. Comments are welcome.

A very full programme was led by YPSM Tracy Wood and Junior Soldiers Sergeant Melanie Scoulding last Sunday morning when it was the Junior Soldiers Day of Renewal. It included a dedication, enrolment of four new Junior Soldiers and the presentation of a Gold JS award.
All are welcome to come for a short walk with us on Sunday 22nd June 2008.

This month’s Ladies Fellowship meeting was especially for those with a love of food, just desserts. Anna Beeching, and her mother, came with a selection of recipes which could be cooked in a microwave oven or prepared easily.

Through some sudden stroke of insanity, on Friday 23 May Chatham Youth Group agreed to stage a sponsored ‘Stay Awake’ to raise funds for Chikankata Hospital and Young Group Funds.

This last weekend was a very exciting one for three of our Songsters, Emma, Louise and Rachel, as they were privileged to be able to take part in a weekend of activity with the Territorial Youth Choir which culminated in them singing at the Gospel Arts Festival held at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Worship Purpose Group continues to be busy in the background and will be holding a meeting in the fairly near future. However, readers might like to know what’s been happening in the mean time.
