A number of ladies met on Monday for the film night and watched ‘Pay it Forward’. Some had heard that it was sad and came armed with tissues. When the final moments came and the lights came up there were many dabbing their eyes.

The past week has been another eventful one at the Corps. On Wednesday the sixth course of Christianity for Life began with fourteen participants. The guest speaker was Nigel Day who contributed to the topic of ‘Belonging to the Church’.

The title ‘Hot Potato’ refers to the content of the informal supper and also the topics being discussed are those which are ‘hot potatoes’ in that there are several different viewpoints and stances that people can take.
The next Family Fun evening will be in the form of a ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ game with a light supper. This will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010 at 7 pm. The charge will be £3.00 per person (including children)/£10 for a family of 5 (2 Adults 3 Children).
