CAMEO
(Come And Meet Each Other)
CAMEO is a recently formed group aimed at providing a social scene for all who would like to be involved. There is no discrimination on the grounds of sex, age or background. All are welcome.
The group meets every Wednesday afternoon between 1.30 and 3.00 in The Salvation Army hall in Church Street, Chatham, and enjoys such activities as music, quiz and other competitions, speakers and the celebration of birthdays. Even just chatting and socialising with each other is a regular component of the afternoon. A ‘thought for the week’ feature is also included.
From time to time the group likes to go on outings and to this end funds are raised.
The group is run by Rita Broomfield who has been a Salvationist for many years. She has a lifetime of experience and worked with Social Services for a number of years as a warden in charge of care homes within the Medway Council area before her retirement.
Rita stresses that anyone can come to CAMEO. No membership is necessary and all are welcome, every week or just occasionally. If you would like to know more please contact us.
