Sisters Rosemary and Barbara Steadman-Allen have both competed in the Copenhagen marathon.

Rosemary, who is a fund raiser for Parkinson’s UK, tells us that she didn’t ask for sponsors on this occasion for fear of ‘overkill’ but now has an automatic place in the next London marathon (so start saving up!!!). Sister Barbara, however, raised £500 but only did the run to keep Rosemary company so the joint venture was obviously succssful.

We offer of congratulations to both ladies on a great effort, Rosemary completing the course in 4 hours 27 minutes and Barbara 5 hours 35 minutes. Well done! Bring on London.
