Whatever happened to Global Warming? In bitterly cold temperatures the corps met for the first Sunday of Advent. It reached -9 degrees C in parts of the Medway Towns in the morming but there was no snow, unlike other parts of the country. Val Smith lights the first Advent candle

From a personal contact with Major Gilberto Martinez Trinidad, who visited this corps with the delegates from the 206th session of the International College for Officers earlier this year we learn of the damage, caused by a recent hurricane, to buildings and communications in the city of Veracruz where he lives.
Yesterday was a day of covenant as we witnessed one young man and one not so young taking further steps on the spiritual pathway of life. More of that in the context of each meeting.

A packed church greeted the Band, under the leadership of Bandmaster Carl Woodman, when it gave a programme at West Malling Baptist Church in aid of the charity ROPE (Relief for Oppressed People Everywhere).
Acts of remembrance will have taken place all over the country and the world this weekend and our own town was no exception.
