Rachael Mary Mills
The Thanksgiving Service for the life of Rachael Mills, 40, was conducted yesterday by Major Drew McCombe.
The service was attended by members of the family and Salvationists from Chatham and Gravesend corps, a small composite band being formed to accompany the singing and provide additional music. The hymns used included ‘Abide with Me‘, ‘Blessed be the Name of the Lord‘ and ‘In Christ Alone‘ and Rachael’s father, John Francis, read from Romans 8:35-39. Her brother, Kurt, offered prayer. Tributes were given by Victoria Page and husband John Mills. Major Drew McCombe read from 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 and gave a brief message.
The commital was at Medway Crematorium, Robin Hood Lane.

Rachael blessed our hearts too many times to count. She faced the worst of circumstances with a Holy Peace that is rarely observed, that Peace that passes all understanding – Rachael brought the meaning of Salvation full and free to its fullest degree. Our lives will be all the less for her passing to Glory. May God pour out His peace on John and all the family – Praise Him for His great mercies. Steve & Mel AoH @ WBC

Rachael was and is a sparkle of light to us all. She was outstandingly brave and had such a wonderful smile. I hope that now she is at peace, she can look down on John and always be in his heart wherever he is or goes. May God bless John and the family and may we all gives thanks for such a wonderful Rachael.
