School Reopens as Salvation Army Takes Responsibility for 20,000 People in Haiti (Update 26 January) SALVATION Army teams in Haiti continue to focus their attention on 12,000 people living on and around a large soccer field behind the main Salvation Army compound in the St Martin area of Port-au-Prince.

The Corps Give to Grow programme commenced on Saturday with a Corps meal at the local hotel. There was a short presentation at the end of the evening which was introduced by Adrian Horwood.

This week-end has been rather special with the visit of the Territorial Commanders, Commissioners John and Elizabeth Matear. Commissioners John and Elizabeth Matear On Saturday the newly refurbished foyer/cafe area was officially opened by Commissioner John Matear in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Medway, Cllr. Barry Kemp.
