Promoted to Glory
Last week we received the particularly sad news of the promotion to Glory of Pam Adams, Singing Company Leader here at Chatham for many years. Pam is pictured on the right with subsequent Leaders Christine Lockwood and Carolynn Woodman (current).
This photo was taken at the Singing Company Reunion held in July 2006 and is typical of Pam’s love for the children she served faithfully for so many years. The Singing Company tradition here at Chatham has always been a strong one and Pam played a great part in that. A number of her former members are still in the corps today and all have expressed their sadness at her passing. Pam also spent many years running the outpost Sunday School on the Davis Estate where she lived. She truly loved those children and they loved her.
We extend our prayers to husband Cyril, daughter Christine, son David and all members of the family.
The funeral will take place at Hastings Ore Salvation Army Hall at 1pm on Friday 4 December followed by the crematorium committal at 2pm. Family flowers only please, but donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Society through the undertaker, Banfield & Pomphrey, Old London Road, Ore, East Sussex, TN35 5EG

Pam had a smile for everyone and loved leading the Singing Company. My thoughts and prayers go to the family

So sorry to hear about Pam. My thoughts are with the family, she was a very big part of my childhood at Davis Estate. She gave so much of herself to us all
