£250 for Macmillan
£250 was raised by the Parent and Toddler Groups, ‘Mummy and Me’ and ‘The Ark’, when they participated in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning last week.
‘To ‘Feel Good’ is the encouragement cancer sufferers need in battling the disease and the money raised will be added to the huge sums donated around the world in support of the work of this tremendous charity. The children who regualarly bring their parents on a Monday and Friday morning enjoyed having so many people to play with and the mums, dads, grandmas, grandfathers and just plain friends crowded into the hall to enjoy the fun. Leader Verna Smith, herself a victor over cancer, was delighted with the morning’s work, both from the point of view of the money raised and also the happy time enjoyed by all who came. This event has become a feature in the Parent and Toddler calendar and will, no doubt, continue to be so in the years ahead.
