Common Ground

We have common ground with an enquirer to our website through the Christian Motorcyclists Association and Prison ministry. When Doreen English was recently searching for the words of General John Gowans’ lyrics “I nearly forgot to say thank-you” she stumbled upon John Mills’ Testimony.

Finding John’s words of great encouragement she expressed a wish to share them with some of the people with whom she works, mainly those who are, or have been, in prison or are addicted to drugs. Following up her request we have discovered that Doreen not only seeks to encourage those in these difficult circumstances but also has strong links with the Christian Motorcyclists Association, of which we have a number of members within the corps. Regular readers will also know that we have our own prison chaplain (and also a former prison chaplain).

Joan West, Prison Chaplain

Bev Hudson, former Prison Chaplain

Doreen’s testimony is also an encouraging one and we are pleased she has given us permission to publish it. Click here to read it and while you’re at it, check out ‘Biker Finds God‘, our own Ray Knapman’s story published with permission of ‘War Cry’.

If you are looking for a new direction and a change from the old ways, there’s plenty of evidence here that God can show you the way. If you want to know more please contact us or a church near you.
