SALVATION ARMY BAND TO VISIT MIDLANDS

Chatham’s 27 strong Salvation Army Band, under the leadership of Bandmaster Carl Woodman, is to visit Coventry this weekend (13/14 June). The band will feature a blend of traditional brass band music and ‘big band’ numbers in its Saturday evening concert.

The Sunday services at The Salvation Army church in Coventry will be led by the band and a further selection of music will be performed focusing on the message of the Christian gospel. The band has visited numerous Salvation Army centres throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and Holland during its 128 year history.

Bandmaster Carl Woodman says: We are looking forward to visiting Coventry and renewing friendships formed when the Salvation Army band from Coventry visited Chatham last year. The Salvation Army in Coventry is situated right in the middle of the city and on Sunday we will join with the local band in sharing our Christian faith in the city centre.
