A simple reminder of purity Yesterday we met for our traditional Good Friday meeting which was led by Major Beverley McCombe.
During this week a number of activities have taken place. On Tuesday evening our Band and Songsters gave a programme of Easter music interspersed with prayer and meditation.
The course continued last week with a session entitled ‘Living with the Holy Spirit’

This was the title given to last week’s Lent Course bible study based on words “It is finished…………Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. When he had said this, he breathed his last” (John 19:30; Luke 23:46)

Our weekend began on Saturday when the Songsters, under the leadership of Adrian Horwood, visited Chelmsford Corps to give a musical programme.
The International Staff Band CD ‘Together’ on the UCJ label has received a nomination in The Classical BRIT Awards 2009, reports Bandmaster Carl Woodman.
Next week being Holy Week we shall be holding meetings each evening except Monday.
This exciting resource for teaching primary school children about The Salvation Army was used last week when 60 pupils (2 parties of 30) from New Road Primary School (Head Teacher Mrs Jan Perry) visited our Hall in Church Street with their teachers.
