New Bible Study Topic

The Wednesday Bible study group will be looking at 1 Corinthians over the next few weeks.

“We know better.  We should be able to do the right thing.  But often we go against our better judgment and give in.  The Corinthian Christians were no different.  They made mistakes.  Their list of sins is long and ugly, much like ours.  But Paul had patience with the Corinthians.  He saw hope for them.  His letter confronts them and shows them how to lead a pure life.   Even though it was written 2000 years ago, Paul’s letter is a rich resource for us in the twenty-first century.  Our culture exerts enormous pressures on us as the Greco-Roman culture did on the Corinthian church and we are called to be counter-cultural people, demonstrating the power of the kingdom of God in our generation”.

Major Beverley McCombe will be leading the group at 8pm each week in our Church Street Hall, starting ths evening. All are invited to attend.
