Inner Wheel concert
The Medway Inner Wheel concert given by Chatham Songsters, as expected at this time of year, had a Christmassy theme but focussed on the Name of Jesus. Songs by the brigade included: ‘Praise His name’, ‘Child in the manger’, ‘Celebrate’, ‘Good enough for Him’ and the highlight of the evening ‘It’s simply Jesus’.
Hilary Bromage sang ‘Panis Angelicus’ and there were two vocal quartets, (Rachel, Hilary, Sarah, Carolynn) ‘Midwinter’ and (Rachel, Louise, Vanessa, Rachel) ‘Shine for you’.
The President of Inner Wheel explained the role of Rotary International and showed some photos of the work which has been done internationally by rotarians. Funds raised during the evening were to be divided between the local SA building fund and Norcap.
