Medway Cubs Carol Service

Each year YPSM Tracy Wood leads the Medway District cub carol service, which has in the past been held at our hall.  Tracy reports…

This year, with Strood District joining the rest of Medway, we needed to host a carol concert for around 300 cubs. So off we went to Chatham Boys’ Grammar School.

The evening was attended by more than 300 cubs and parents and carols during the evening included ‘Away In A Manger’, ‘Hark The Herald’ and ‘The Virgin Mary Had A Baby Boy’.

Carols were accompanied by a group of band members and the Singing Company (led by Singing Company Leader Carolynn Woodman) sang two songs. One of these was ‘We Three Kings’, sung by Joseph, Gareth and Mitchell.

Ten cub packs took part in the evening, each taking a letter from the word Christmas to come up with ideas of what it could mean. Both Christian and non-Christian ideas were presented.

The message started with a game of Deal Or No Deal which led to a great deal of excitement! We then talked about the real meaning of Christmas.  We pray that God will bless this ministry again as he has done in the past.

Here are a selection of pictures of the evening:
