Meeting the Need
Once again The Salvation Army has tried to meet many local needs this Christmas.
The picture shows some of the team of workers who have spent time recently sorting, packing and delivering many Christmas parcels to needy people in the Medway Towns. Gifts donated by the general public together with provisions purchased from donated funds have been distributed to around 250 adults and almost 500 children for whom Christmas would otherwise have very little joy.
Over the next two weeks we will, no doubt receive more requests to add to those already received from numerous local agencies and contacts and we will attempt to find something for everybody.
The Salvation Army wishes to record its gratitude to hundreds of members of the public who, unreservedly, give to help us in this ministry. We could not do this without them. Thank you!

It was such a joy to witness so many faces, with surprise and thankfulness, for the gifts, that were received and given. It is so amazing that every year, all the hard work and hours spent, our corps of The Salvation Army, can do this special thing for the needy people of the Medway Towns with the love of Christ and show that we do care.
