Dickensian Christmas
The annual Dickensian Christmas festival took place last weekend in Rochester. The city was heaving with people in glorious weather (but cold).
A feature of recent years has been the service held in the cathedral which was again attended by about 1000 people. There was standing room only.
The Band accompanied the singing and provided suitable music for the occasion at which the speaker was the Dean of Rochester, the Very Revd Adrian Newman. A donation of toys and money was received by The Salvation Army for its work in Chatham.
