Choral Essays – volume 2

We quote:

It was around two years ago that a rather innocuous e mail with an audio attachment ‘winged’ its way around the world.

That was the first hint of that which has since become a phenomenon; the marriage of that consummate vocal group, THE KING’S SINGERS with classic songs from the Salvationist vocal repertoire.

The commercial success of that CD is unparalleled in our particular marketplace. The anecdotal evidence and the way that the performances of such songs found their way in to people’s hearts has been both inspiring and humbling.

Of course, by tagging that CD as volume.1. the hint of a sequel was clearly signposted. As I write, the evidence is all around me of the patient and professional craftsmanship of sound technicians and designers, adding their gifts to those of the six men who sang, in their own characteristic style, to create what we believe will be another enthralling and immensely satisfying journey in song.
