World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Once again our Parent and Toddler Groups (‘Mummy & Me’ and ‘The Ark’) have supported this great fund raising effort on behalf of MacMillan Cancer Support.
A Huge Stir
‘Help Create a Huge Stir’ was the caption for this year’s event held by hundreds of individuals, groups and organisations up and down the country. Over 90 people (including the children) joined in the fun on this beautifully sunny morning (26 September) and it seemed a pity the activity could not have been held outside. Our Sunday School hall was bursting at the seams as the children played and the adults sat around in groups enjoying the relaxing atmosphere.
It always helpds to have a smiley face serving the coffee (and cakes we notice!)

Verna leads the singing.
Verna, who has herself recovered from cancer in the last two years, was delighted with the morning. ‘This is the best support we have ever received and thanks are due to all who have come here today’. An amount in excess of £275 was raised for the charity.
