Inner Beauty

Maureen

Maureen Ross, the Divisional Family Officer, dedicated the evening meeting of the Ladies Fellowship on Monday to a sometimes hilarious talk about beauty.

She brought with her a suitcase full of aids to beauty (supposedly) pointing out that she cannot resist buying the well advertised cosmetic products but is usually very disappointed with their performance.

The women’s magazines she had laid out on the table illustrated beautiful women who had made changes to their figures and faces. She pointed out that this did not make them wholly beautiful people. It is the Christlike nature which makes us really beautiful and God wants us to be like Him. She read some scripture verses and poems which confirmed this.

At the next meeting, October 13, it will be an activity evening when the shoe boxes for the Blythswood Care Shoebox Appeal will be covered in Christmas wrapping paper and packed with the appropriate contents to go to Serbia. Donations towards this appeal would be gratefully accepted. Please contact us if you are able to donate.
