Annual Appeal
The Salvation Army is here for everyone…
The Salvation Army is a Christian church that seeks to put its faith into action in the community. We are one of the largest and most diverse providers of social services in the United Kingdom.
Every Salvation Army officer makes the promise ‘for Christ’s sake, to care for the poor, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, love the unlovable and befriend the friendless’. We are committed to working with vulnerable and marginalised people to enable them to enjoy a better quality of life.
The Salvation Army works for everyone in need, regardless of their background or beliefs. Our work goes on in every part of the country, every day, around the clock.
Over the next few weeks, Salvationists and volunteers will be taking part in our Annual Appeal across the UK, collecting door-to-door, at stations and in high streets and supermarkets, to raise funds for our social and community work. This includes the area of Medway where we shall be seeking to gain the financial support of our community, a population in excess of 250,000 people.
If you would like to volunteer to help The Salvation Army with its annual doorknock appeal please contact us or your local Salvation Army. Your assitance would be very much appreciated.
