Ladies Fellowship

Jean Jones writes:

For a change this month, the Ladies Fellowship met at The Strand for a leisurely stroll along the riverbank.   The weather was quite warm but, sadly, not sunny.    The walk is part of the Saxon Way footpath which stretches for some miles along the North Kent coastline.   However, this was not meant to be a marathon and the ten members enjoyed a friendly chat as they strolled along just a short part of it.

When we returned to the car park we unloaded the flasks of coffee, tea and packets of biscuits and all sat round the picnic table for some more happy chat and planning for the future months.

This was a most enjoyable evening and the last meeting until 8 September

  1. Jean Jones. A chance encounter on a train whilst I was in training helped us recall memories of Corps Cadets. With a smile and a generous spirit she reached into her purse and pressed some money into my hand. It paid for a book which I sorely needed in college.
Thanks for the memories, and thank you for your kindness.
