Graduation at Durham

A couple of weeks ago we offered our congratulations to Mark Scoulding on gaining a 1st class Honours Degree (BSc) in Archaeology from Durham University.

Dad Steve writes:

I thought it might be nice for some of the folk at Chatham who have been supporting Mark in prayer to
see some of his photos from the Durham ‘Congregation’ (Graduation).

It was a great day, Durham Cathedral was as beautiful as ever and it was especially nice that mark got to meet the Chancellor of the University – Bill Bryson the author – in person.

Mel and I would also like to thank those who have actively supported him over the last three years – there are so many, but special mention has to go to Audrey and David Holder, Ken and Ellen Lloyd, Jean Jones
and especially Norma Burdett who has written to Mark on a regular basis from the day he started.  If ever there was a reason why The Salvation Army is special – the care, love and support shown to our boy has been overwhelming.  Sherburn Hill Corps will always have a special place in all of our affections – they are an example of true kindness and Christian love.

Here are a few more pictures.
