What should I be doing?

This is a question we often ask ourselves. How do we answer? The recently concluded Spiritul Gifts course has helped us with this dilemma.

Majors Drew and Beverley McCombe led the final session of the course on Wednesday evening. During the three sessions we have looked at what drives us (our passion), what we’re good at (our gifts) and how we do things (our style). Combining the information we have gained helps us to focus on how we could be best used in our church (corps) situation.

Focusing on these issues has also cemented in the minds of those attending that idleness is not acceptable to God. We are required to work for the Kingdom and we should now be better equipped to do so. The information gained will not be wasted and will be used by those responsible for recommending appointments in future. But, most of all, those who attended the course will find greater satisfaction in their future service because of the time spent learning to understand themselves.

The course material is provided by Willow Creek Community Church of Chicago, Illinois.
