Angels from the Realms of Chatham
Well, they seem like angels, don’t they? One of our toddler groups, Mummy & Me, held its Carol Service and Party last Friday. Not everybody enjoyed meeting Santa!
Perhaps she’s just singing?
This is the group for our younger toddlers catering for 0-2 year olds. Many of the children came dressed as characters from Christmas, sheep, kings, shepherds, reindeer and a star all being present. Even Santa was there! Major Kathy led the service and used toys to tell the biblical story so that children and parents alike were able to understand the importance of the baby Jesus. A number of carols were sung especially those liked by the children and the mums, dads and grandmas joined in with gusto.
Then Santa arrived and the children received presents. Some were a bit frightened of this guy in a red coat but the mums seemed to have it all under control.
Finally it was party time and families and children alike tucked into party food provided by the mums themselves. We wonder if the kids are this well behaved at home. Of course they are!
Then, on Monday we did it all over again for The Ark, our group for children between the ages of approximately 2 and 3 years. Santa was there again (isn’t he just so busy?) and the older children enjoyed the Christmas story and carols. Here are some more pictures.
