For the Beauty of the Earth…..
As the season of Harvest Thanksgiving is upon us (we celebrated ours a couple of weeks ago) we thought we would bring you some pictures of God’s handiwork we see around us.
The photos below were taken at Leeds Castle, a famous Kent beauty spot visited by thousands of tourists and locals alike every year.
The Castle holds a flower festival every year in the autumn. Here are some further pictures, this time featuring what we humans can do with the wonderful gifts God gives us. Flowers take an important place in our church worship and are donated weekly by members of the congregation. Arranging them is a time consuming and skillful operation. Just think about the time and skill needed to create arrangements like those pictured here.
Perhaps we shall see some of the ideas shown here in our Sunday arrangements in the future. Who knows?
The title of this item is taken from the hymn by Folliott Sandford Pierpoint. Our Songsters used it in their ministry on our own thanksgiving Sunday. Click here to read the whole song.
