Renewing Acquaintances
On a recent visit (23 June) to Clacton, members of the Band met up again with former Deputy Bandmaster Will Stuckey. Here are two pictures of the occasion. Will is now in his 90′s.
The Band also renewed acqaintances with Majors Peter and Olive Dickson who were retiring from active service as Salvation Army officers. Taking part in the thanksgiving meeting the band played a variety of music including ‘big band’and Major Steve Russell paid tribute to the work done by Peter and Olive during their officership. Peter and Olive entered training for officership whilst they were members of Chatham Corps where Peter was heavily involved with the Baden Powell movement.
The Band had earlier conducted an open-air ministry in the town.
