Young Searchers at Holcot

Between 23 and 25 March (Friday to Sunday) the Young Searchers are at the Holcot Residential Centre in Edenbridge, Kent.

Whilst there the senior girls will be involved in expedition training and the younger members will be receiving training in the Adventure Challenge Scheme (a pre Duke of Edinburgh Award initiative). In addition the seniors will be doing a sponsored 10 mile walk and the younger ones a similar event over 5 miles. Both of these are to raise funds to get the Young Searcher Duke of Edinburgh Award girls to Angola in 2008 to do their residential section of the award.

The Young Searchers have a very busy year ahead. Look out for more news later.

  1. It was really fun at Holcot, we had fun. We did 3 miles and I was worn out when we came back. They made us all welcome although they didn’t know us. Thank you Linda and the Young Searchers. We loved it and thank you for letting us come. We had fun but our CAR broke down on the way there.
