Petition to Prime Minister
One of our bandsmen, Richard Craik, has sent the following petition to Tony Blair, the Prime Minister. Click here to visit the petitions website and add your name.
Richard’s petition says:
Christianity isn’t a club. It isn’t a faze people are going through. It isn’t an excuse or something to blame for cultural tension and religious problems. However, in this modern multi-cultural Britain it seems to be something that is OK to be walked all over as “We wouldn’t want to offend anyone”. Well guess what, you offend me and countless others by telling me I can’t celebrate Christ’s birth or even mention it. I bet nobody will ever ban Divali from being celebrated. Belief in God is the most important choice everyone needs to make. Full stop. Wars will come and go, as will Governments and rulers. One thing is certain: Death. Another certainty is that it can be overcome by Christ’s resurrection. For God’s sake, let us tell people about it and remember Him at every opportunity we can.
If you would like to join Richard (and approximately 700 others so far) click on the link above and add your name to the petition. Join with us from wherever you are in the world. This is not just a British problem. We feel its time we made a stand!
I AGREE WHAT YOU HAVE SAID AND FEEL DEEPLY THAT OUR STANDARDS ARE FALLING AS CHRISTIANS. WE MUST TAKE A STAND FOR THE ONE WHO GAVE HIS ALL FOR US, AND THAT MEANS EVERYONE.
