40th Anniversary of Blythswood Care

Regular readers will be aware of the charity Blythswood Care and our own Mike Rowley’s involvement with it. Mike’s regular trips to Serbia have been recorded on this website in the past.

Mike has asked us to make the following announcement particularly for local readers:

There will be a service of celebration in Rochester Cathedral on Sunday, March 11th 2007 at 3.15 pm, to mark the 40th anniversary of Blythswood Care’s work among the people of Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. Guests include the Director of the Red Cross, Southern Serbia (our partners in Serbia), a representative from Romania and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox church in London.

A presentation of the work of Blythswood Care will be on show in the crypt where refreshments will also be available after the service. Complimentary tickets are available from Mike Rowley. Please come and meet the guests and take the opportunity to see how your support makes a difference to those who receive the aid.

Local Salvationists have been very supportive of Blytheswood in the past and clearly this would be a nice event to attend
