On a cold and wet November evening (23rd) the Chatham Christmas Lights were launched. Our Youth Group were allowed to use the Divisional Headquarters emergency vehicle and they took to the streets to provide free tea (or coffee) for the intrepid shoppers. It was anticipated that all the shops would stay open late and this was announced on the Council website but, alas, only some came to the party. Nevertheless our young people made some contacts from amongst the local Chatham lads (and some older folks too). Leaflets describing the corps Christmas programme were distributed.
