We are pleased to report that the first session of the ‘Christianity for Life‘ course went very well. The course is designed for new Christians and is particularly relevant to those who have just completed an Alpha course.
Our monthly Ladies Fellowship was held on Monday, 11 September. Website correspondent Jean Jones sends this brief report.

Further to ‘Advance Warning’ posted yesterday, we are now able to advise that the morning meeting this coming Sunday, 17 September, will be held at Lordswood Junior School, Lordswood Lane and will start at the normal time of 10am.
This coming Saturday, 16 September, Chatham Band will be presenting a concert, with special guests David Childs and Mark Norwood (with Ashley Prodgers), to celebrate 125 years of Christian music-making by the band.
We offer our congratulations to Captain Iain Hudson who has recently gained a Master of Arts degree in Evangelism Studies at Sheffield University.

The world wide fellowship of Christian people is remarkable. Imagine our surprise early last week when we received a telephone call from a lady, Dorothy, who lives in New Zealand.
Rachel would like to thank all those who attended her BBQ today (10 September) for helping her to raise £300 towards next summer’s trip to Borneo.
Both our Parent and Toddler groups have restarted this week following the summer break.

We are pleased to offer our congratulations to a number of our young people who have received examination results during the last few weeks.
During the summer of 2007 Rachel Abbott will be making an expedition to Borneo where she will be working in an orphanage and also in an Orangutang Sanctuary.
