Heritage Tour

Recently a party of local Salvationists and friends undertook a conducted tour of the Salvation Army’s heritage sites in London. Phil Brent, a local street cleaner in Chatham and a new Christian, took part in this tour and has written an account of the day for our quarterly Corps magazine, ‘Vision’.

What a great week-end! We began on Saturday evening with a fantastic programme given by over 40 Singing Company members from the last 25 years who joined for reunion. Following an afternoon rehearsal the group enjoyed tea together and then gave us a truly great evening

This week a new Bible Study Class has started. This will be taking place at the Hall in Church Street each Tuesday morning at 10.30 and will run in parallel with the two classes already running on Wednesday evenings.

On Saturday 8 July (this coming Saturday) our Singing Company are holding a reunion. This is predominantly for those who have been members during the last 25 years.

This week our Songsters were privileged to share the concert platform with The Medway Band (Kent Messenger). For those who do not live in the Kent area, The Kent Messenger is our local newspaper (and a very good one at that). The concert was given in Chatham’s Brook Theatre on Saturday evening.
