Linda at Buckingham Palace
Linda Tout looks after the Young Searchers, a group for girls between the ages of 5 and 18 years.

On Tuesday 18 July Linda, with her husband Graham, was invited to Buckingham Palace. When we spoke to her it seemed Linda was a little disappointed that she did not actually meet Her Majesty the Queen, only about twenty from a guest list of several hundred were granted that privilege . She did see her, however, which was better than nothing. Here is a picture of Linda and Graham taken at the palace.

Linda was nominated for this honour because the Young Searchers achieved the highest number of Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award winners, eight in all, of any group in the Medway Towns this year. Well done Linda and congratulations to all the girls concerned.
