Service above Self

Last Friday (14 July) we published an article about Mike Rowley and his recent visit to Serbia. We did not know then that, on that very day, Mike was being given an award by Rotary International.The service recognition award was generated by the Rotary Club of Rochester in “acknowledgement of special service”. It was based on MIke’s service to the people of Serbia and for his previous work with The Salvation Army’s “soup run” here in Chatham. We would also like to recognise Mike, very much an unsung hero, and are sure he would welcome any views you might wish to express through our comments box. Well done Mike!
