Two important events in our Corps life were a feature of this week-end, the KAOS outing and the dedication of Isaac James Woodman
KAOS (Kids Alive On Sunday) held their annual outing on Saturday visiting the beach at Joss Bay (on the Kent coast) with over 100 people attending. The weather was beautifully sunny but a strong breeze kept temperatures quite cool giving rise to the possibility of a good suntan (or sunburn in some cases). A number of adult kids (otherwise known as parents) were allowed to come and share in the fun. Apparently the sea temperature was ‘freezing’ but the kids didn’t seem to care. Rounders and football were amongst the beach games played.
These pictures show some of the children and two of the ‘adults’
On Sunday morning Major Malcolm Westwood, our former commanding officer, conducted the dedication service of Isaac James Woodman, son of Bandmaster Carl and Singing Company Leader Carolynn Woodman, their first child. There were a number of visitors for the occasion particularly family members.

In the evening meeting Major Kathy continued the series on ‘Scripture that inspires Song’.

The chosen scripture was Philippians 3 Vv 7 - 11 inspiring Graham Kendrick’s words ‘All I once held dear, built my life upon……….spent and worthless now, compared to this’.
Knowing You Jesus,
Knowing You, there is no greater thing.
You’re my all, You’re the best,
You’re my joy, my righteousness,
And I love You, Lord.
We hope you do.
